Dear Father:

I was directed to your website through various links while reading about Fr. John Corapi's recent sad news.

Also, in the last few weeks, my family has learned, that our great uncle, a priest, who has been deceased for 44 years, has been accused of molesting young girls in the parish rectory. The parish he founded removed his 50-year ordination plaque and his name from the parish hall. Our family is suffering with these accusations and pray that they are untrue. There are few blood relatives left, my father, his nephew has been dead for 11 years. However, my brother, bears his name and is quietly suffering through this.
I read your account of prison life and I am in awe of your positive attitude through your suffering. I will keep you in my prayers, and hope to be able to contribute to your legal defense in the future. Please pray for my familiy as I will surely pray for you.
God Bless you.

Dear Father:

There is only one book that I have read 3 times, "He Leadeth Me!". It is no accident that Cardinal Dulles led you to him. Jesus has placed the call upon your life to suffer, as He did Fr. Cizseck, for the salvation of others. Your suffering under your personal cross is a witness to many of the life and power of Jesus. Thank you. The power of your witness has touched my heart and I'm sure many others. You will remain in my prayers. May Our Lady , Mother of Martyrs, be constantly with you!

Ave Maria! Fr. McRae,

This re-posting of the Sacrifice of the Mass is very timely for me. There are times in our lives when we just take things for granted, and this was what was happening with me. The Mass can sometimes be habitual and nothing more. Since hearing of your 5 year separation from Our Lord, I have vowed to never take the Mass for granted again.

The Mass does transcend time. Padre Pio was asked why, if his mother was in Heaven, did he still say the Mass for her every day. His answer was that the Mass was outside of time and the Masses that he said for her today were present for her at the time of her death. So all of the prayers that we say for our loved ones are present to them at the time of their death. How powerful is that?

I say the Padre Pio prayer every day after Mass. I am a Franciscan of the Immaculate and St. Pio is one of our Patron Saints along with St. Maximilian Kolbe.
Please know of my prayers for you at daily Mass and I will try to remember as I receive the Eucharist to imagine that I am receiving Our Lord from your hands.
You are truly blessed to be able to join your suffering with the sufferings of Christ. Please pray for me that I may never take the Eucharist for granted ever again.

God Bless you father

To Jesus through Mary.

This was supposed to be posted next week but since I saw the link, I thought I could do an 'advanced reading'. It;s been several months since you spoke about getting EWTN back. Hopefully, you continue to get it to this day, and so benefit the Catholic inmates as well.

Thank you for the 'Padre Pio prayer'. I will certainly make copies of it and lead my family to recite it after Mass. Pray that I won't receive any 'groans' from them.

May you keep your faithfulness to Christ and His Church. In a way, being imprisoned is a state of mind. The powers that be may limit our physical boundaries, but our spirit can always soar and commune with Him Who Is. In truth, you are free!

It will be 'Regina Caeli' in a minute, Central Time, and I will remember you, Father, as I say my praises.

Your words have helped me through a very difficult day. Great timing for this re-post. You have given some hope back to me today. It also helps me know that Pornchai is not alone in there. Thank you :)

God bless you Father! Since finding your blog my eyes have been opened to the need for Catholic prison ministry. Within a week of discovering your blog three different mediums enlightened me.

I listened to a Catholic prison conversion story on CD from Lighthouse Catholic Media: No Escape - From Prison to the Catholic Church. A prisoner (Russell Ford ) converted to Catholicism and has converted quite a large number of Alabama prisoners through his RCIA classes. I believe he said he had 70 God sons.

Next I recieved a DVD I had ordered from Netflix, Road of Hope: The Spiritual Journey of Cardinal Nguyen Van Thuan. A beautiful story of hope and love of a Vietnamese bishop wrongfully imprisoned. (This reminded me of your reference to He Leadeth Me, which I have not yet read).

Finally I read in my local Diocesan newspaper about a lay man who visits a local prison and ministers to the prisoners there once each month. I am a mother to eight children. One day I will be able to reach out in a physical way. I also feel called to minister to those in crisis pregnancies. However, I have no doubt what my calling is right now. I need to minister to my little (and big) ones and teach them about the persecuted, the lonely, the frightened and the imprisoned.

Know, Father, that you are in our prayers.

Dear Father,
I also love EWTN. is such a wonderful thing for so many attend Mass via EWTN. I especially like Marcus Grodi in The Journey Home. Fr. Corapi, and Fr. Mitch. What a blessing!!!!

All the programs have something to offer. Another source I like is Spirit Daily, Michael Browns website. His articles are thought provoking And like he says " For your discernment." May Jesus Christ King of All Nations breathe on you and bring you peace.
In His Name, Patricia I.O.L.

I am overjoyed that you have EWTN. God does answer our prayers. After all, EWTN is His network!

I did email Raymond A. and will do so again to let him know about this great news.

Despite the evil which exists in our world, God shows us His lovely face each and every day, if we have eyes to see Him. I know you Father MacRae have eyes to see Him.

God bless you and praise be to Our Lord and Savior for His kindness and His mercy.
